The Lord is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works.(Psalm 145:17)
Devotional
To understand the works of the Lord we must understand that He dwells in eternity and the He is not governed by time and space. His works can and do encompass generations and ages. What we see being done in one generation may be for the preparation or benefit of another. When we read the prophetic books of the Bible we will inevitably find a fusion of times and events. We attempt to deal with events chronologically; God does not. His righteous ways encompass history, the present as well as the future. God basically is and He fully knows. When we find ourselves having a hard time understanding His works, we can trust that they are more than gracious because of who He is and where He dwells. The Lord is timeless. His mercy and grace is ceaseless. Therefore we can be sure that, "The Lord is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works."Daily Reading
