Man goes out to his work and to his labor until evening.(Psalm 104:23)
Devotional
The Bible has much to say about work. It is one of the Ten Commandments: “Six days you shall labor and do all your work.” Work is good; it is what God calls the things He does. Nevertheless work in itself can be a great hindrance if distorted. If the work of life becomes your life you will fail at life. The same applies to ministry. If the work of ministry becomes your ministry you will fall. For the believer there is only one life and one ministry, Christ. If our focus is on our work for the sake of that work we will eventually become weary, disheartened and fail. The same applies to ministry. If the purpose of the ministry is the work of the ministry we will fall from it. The focus and purpose must be Christ. He is the ministry; He is the reason to work. Christ is to receive all the glory. When this is our purpose, our work and ministries will be not only filled with joy, but prosperity as well.Daily Reading
