Devotional
Benefits are not the main compensation, but are additional entitlements for the purpose of promoting and enhancing our wellbeing. We seek them in employment and give them as rewards for good service. Salvation is the principal thing for the believer. Nevertheless, there are many benefits given to the Christian. We have not only the promise of heaven, but also the promise of an abundant life. We enjoy the benefits of fellowship, praise and worship, and the guidance of the Word of the Lord. Salvation likewise comes with a great retirement package, eternal life in a place called heaven. As a matter of fact, as the scriptures declare, “All the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” Just like employment benefits, we often forget about them until we need them. Let us not forget the benefits of God, for they are given to be enjoyed and used daily.Daily Reading
