Title

Make Him Your Comfort

Scripture
Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; In the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, until these calamities have passed by.
(Psalm 57:1)
Devotional
Herein is the epitome of God’s great comfort and shelter. Whenever life brings its snares and hardships, make this your prayer. When there is no where to turn and you do not know what to do, remember Psalm fifty-seven, verse one. When calamities come, and they will come, call out for the mercies of God. When there is no one to trust, let your soul trust in the Lord. When there is no place to hide from life’s storms, take your refuge in the shadow of His wings. You who have a broken heart, remember He is merciful. You who know the pain of loss, hold on to your faith. You who have hurts that no one can fathom or understand but the Lord, make this your prayer. He is merciful. He is trustworthy. You can take refuge in Him until your calamities have passed by.

Thank you Lord for this devotion at this time. Only you could know of the sad and painful losses our family would be getting ready to go through over the next several weeks. Thank you for being our strength and our comfort as only you could be.
