Title

The Top Ten

Scripture
And God spoke these words, saying, “I am the Lord your God…”
(Exodus 20:1-17)
Devotional
We call these words “The Ten Commandments.” “You shall have no other Gods before Me.” “You shall not make yourself a carved image…” “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain…” Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” “Honor your father and mother…” “You shall not murder.” “You shall not commit adultery.” “You shall not steal.” “You shall not bear false witness…” “You shall not covet…” When you think about it, all the laws of civilized man are based on these few simple words. Herein is the simplicity of civic moral law. Ponder them. Study them. Apply them to every realm of your life. They work in the home. They work in government. They work in business. They simply work in every domain. May I remind you, they are not “The Ten Recommendations,” nor “The Ten Opinions,” They are God’s Holy Commandments. By His grace you can keep them. By His mercy they will bless your life.
