Title

Overcoming Intimidation

Scripture
A wise man scales the city of the mighty, and brings down the trusted stronghold.
(Proverbs 21:22)
Devotional
What intimidates you? Do you see others as better than yourself? Do titles and positions cause you to cower? There is a tremendous difference in respecting a position and being intimidated by one. There are people who hold greater offices and rank, but they are no better than you or me because of them. Greatness has to do with office. For someone to be classed as better, has to do with quality of character not position. Position and rank have nothing to do with character. Therefore, do not be afraid to approach those who have a higher status than you; especially those who are putting their trust in their title or office. These are their trusted strongholds. Do not be fearful of entering their domain. It is easy to reach down. It takes great faith to reach up. To pull a man out of his poverty is noble. To pull a man from his false perch of security is valiant. Do not hesitate to reach down, and do not be intimidated to reach up.
