Lead Your Leaders

Scripture
And Jesus went up on the mountain, and there He sat with His disciples.
(John 6:3)
Devotional
Jesus ministered and taught thousands, yet He led only a few. These He called disciples. As a pastor and preacher I get to speak to hundreds of people every week. However, I only lead a very few: my staff, and a handful of church lay-leaders. I have found that the more time I spend with the leaders the better the results. If I minister to one member, I have reached one member. If I minister to one leader, I have reached many members. Therefore, If you are in a leadership position, may I recommend that you give the majority of your time to those who are leaders, or those who have the potential to lead. You will in turn multiply to your numbers. The greater your influence the greater the demand of your time. Therefore, give your time wisely. To your leaders, give your time freely. A few hours on the mountain with your leaders will allow you to reach the multitude.
