Title

I Get Tired Of Them

Scripture
…Let them be driven backward and brought to dishonor who wish me evil.
(Psalm 40:14)
Devotional
Do you ever pray this about those who are against you? I sure do. I have found that any worthwhile endeavor is usually met with it’s “nay-sayers.” No matter how favorable our efforts, there will be those who find fault. There are times when the altars are filled with the repentant, lives are being changed and God is moving mightily. Nevertheless, there are those who will insist on pointing out that the music was too loud or a verse was not doctrinally correct. Jude calls them “…spots… serving only themselves. They are clouds without water.” I often believe that we do the fault-finders of life a great disservice by not rebuking them in their boastful arrogance. They are spots and blemishes that more than often do their best to sow discord among the family of God. Therefore, I believe that we can rightfully pray, “Lord rebuke them, ‘let them be driven backward and brought to dishonor who wish me evil.’”
