We… do not cease to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.(Colossians 1:9)
Devotional
I love the phrase, “The understanding of His will.” It is one thing to know God’s will for our lives and to have the wisdom to obey it. It is even more awesome to understand His will. To know the reason why ads clarity to our vision and magnifies our enthusiasm. The apostle prays that the Colossians would receive spiritual wisdom and understanding first and foremost. To know in the depths of our beings without doubt that God is directing us toward a certain goal. There is not greater joy than to know the mind of the Lord to this degree. Therefore let us seek it not only for ourselves, but likewise let us pray for others to acquire this level of understanding. Let us pray this way for our families, our churches and those that are dear to us. Let us pray expecting God to answer filling us with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.Daily Reading
