Devotional
We have become a shameless society. Nudity, vulgarity and the like have become commonplace. We expose more flesh than we cover; and that which is covered is covered sensually. We permit our daughters to flaunt themselves and wonder why they are sexually active at such young ages. We have become a society that decorates the body for the purpose of drawing attention to it. Then we act as if we are insulted when inordinate attention is given. What can we expect? If we expose ourselves in an inordinate manner, we are going to get an inordinate amount of attention. We, likewise, entertain ourselves with fringe pornography and wonder why husbands get drawn from their wives. These things surely are an abomination to the Lord. There was a time when they were unacceptable to us, but we have forgotten how to be ashamed. We no longer even blush when exposed. May we remember how to blush again.Daily Reading
