Title

Conquering The Lion Outside

Scripture
The lazy man says, “There is a lion outside! I shall be slain in the streets.”
(Proverbs 22:13)
Devotional
Laziness will go to any extreme to justify itself. The lazy man will never take the blame for his slothfulness; someone or something else will always be at fault. The lazy man would get up early, but he is too depressed. The lazy man would work hard, but nobody appreciates him. The lazy man would keep his word, but he had other priorities. The lazy man is lazy about everything, except blaming someone else for his problems. The lazy man needs to know that there is no lion outside. He will not be slain in the streets. He needs to stop making excuses, and start yielding to discipline. Nothing overcomes depression like accomplishment, and nothing accomplishes more than hard work. The diligent are appreciated, and those who have discipline set proper priorities. Therefore, there is no excuse for the lazy man. He can conquer his laziness. He can overcome the lion outside.
