Title

The Purpose Of Faith

Scripture
He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.
(Romans 4:20)
Devotional
The Bible furthermore says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Do you see the simplicity of faith. God says believe Me, trust Me, and obey Me. When we do this we manifest Biblical faith, the faith of Abraham. Faith in God is a growing faith. It feeds off itself. The more faith we manifest the greater our faith becomes. Therefore, “The righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ‘The just shall live by faith.’” Faith in Christ always glorifies God. It is not designed to bring glory to man. Herein is the object of our faith, Jesus Christ. When we endeavor to walk by faith, no matter how small that faith may be, we strengthen ourselves in faith. The purpose of faith is not to have God obey us. The purpose of faith is for us to obey God.
