Title

Who Do You Serve?

Scripture
But Peter and the other apostles answered and said, “We ought to serve God rather than man.”
(Acts 5:29)
Devotional
If we are honest with each other, we serve ourselves ninety-nine percent of the time. We either do what we want to do for ourselves, or what we have to do. I am not talking about enjoying whatever you do, but for whom are you doing it. For the most part God is about third on our list of priorities. We serve ourselves first, certain others second; and God usually gets an honorable mention. How do we turn it around? I believe the first step is to become a worshipper. Put the body of Christ on the top of your priority list. Fellowship with Him and His people on the Lord’s day faithfully. Spend the best hour of every day with Him in prayer and Fellowship in His Word. Have an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches, especially your church. Determine that you ought to serve God rather than man.
