Don’t Be Frivolous

Scripture
He who tills his land will be satisfied with bread, But he who follows frivolity is devoid of understanding.
(Proverbs 12:11)
Devotional
If a lifestyle of trivia, fantasy, and daydreaming leads to poverty, then surely a lifestyle of work, labor, and toil will lead to prosperity. This is the simple law of sowing and reaping. Proverbs also says, “In all labor there is profit, But idle chatter leads only to poverty.” God is simply saying, that those who work will have an abundance, but those who chose to live in a fantasy world just don’t get it. Here’s a fact, “Work, works, and fantasy, fantasizes. ” Just as “Faith without works is dead,” dreams without work leads to poverty. It is good to have dreams, especially great dreams. However, dreams alone reflect a void of understanding. Dreams, demand action. Great dreams demand greater action. Till the land of your dreams, and be satisfied with what God will do in your life.
