Trust In The Lord’s Faithfulness
Scripture
Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
(Psalm 37:3)
Devotional
If we trust in the Lord, all we can do is good, because all that we do will be according to His will for our lives. It only stands to reason that we would obey Him if we trust Him. Also, if we trust Him we will dwell where He is. This isn’t a very difficult thing to understand. However, what does it mean to feed on His faithfulness? Well, if we are where He is, there will be nourishment-physical as well as spiritual. God will always be faithful to perform that which He has promised. He will never let us down, nor will He ever forsake us. On this we can truly feed. The twenty-third Psalm says it this way, “He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.” Because of His faithfulness, we can always trust Him to meet our need no matter what the realm.
