Finding God From Wherever You Are

But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.(Deuteronomy 4:29)
Devotional
Inasmuch as God’s people would be scattered far from Him, and serve the false gods of this world, He said that He would not forsake them. Our text begins with the phrase, “But from there…” It doesn’t matter where you are, you can call on the Name of the Lord. In the book, The Hiding Place, Corey TenBoom said it so very well, “There is no pit so deep, that He is not deeper still.” It doesn’t matter how far you have fallen, “But from there…” you can call out to a God who loves you enough to reach down and pick you up. There are times that you might have to hit bottom before you are willing to look up. “But from there…” you can seek the Lord your God. Even though you may leave the presence of the Lord, He says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”It doesn’t matter where you are, “But from there…”Daily Reading
