Title

It Is Good To Be Restrained

Scripture
Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law.
(Proverbs 29:18)
Devotional
Whenever our lives are void of the preaching and teaching of the Word of God, our lives will be without restraint. That is, we will fall deeper and deeper into a life of sin. With in no time at all you have become discontented and hardened toward life. People have become a nuisance and those that you once loved the most seem to have changed their attitudes toward you and yours toward them. This is why we are so clearly instructed in Hebrews, "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."[4] We with all certainty are approaching that day, the day of the Lord's return. Without the fellowship of the saints and instruction in righteousness we will inevitably cast of godly restraint. However we are hearing and doing the law of God, happy are we.
