Title

Justice Takes A Little Longer

Scripture
Better is a little with righteousness, than vast revenues without justice.
(Proverbs 16:7)
Devotional
A little gained with integrity and honor is better than all the wealth in the world gained by dishonest means. No matter what material possessions dishonest gain may bring, its fruit will always be hardship, sorrow and pain. O, there may be pleasure for a season, but it will be a short-lived season. A little gained with righteousness is like the scriptural analogy of the mustard seed: "A mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs."[12] I know and understand how tempting it is to obtain wealth quickly. However that which is gained quickly is usually gained with injustice. Be just, equitable, and forthright in all your dealings. It may take a little longer to prosper, but that prosperity will prove to be a lasting pleasurable gain.
