Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.(Genesis 6:22)
Devotional
James says, “That faith without works is dead being alone. ” Oswald Chambers said, “Picture Noah sitting down and saying, ‘God has given me a wonderful plan. I’m going to sit here and watch it happen.’ If he had done that, the water would have soon been over his head.”God does not give us His promises so that we can sit and watch them happen, He intends for us to be full participants in His plans. If we truly believe in God and in His plan for our lives, then we will explicitly trust Him to fulfill that plan buy being obedient to it. Whatever we do, whether in marriage, business, finances, work, or any endeavor, we must do it by obedient faith. Don’t sit and wait on the Lord, work and wait on the Lord. He wants you to be with Him at life’s completion.Daily Reading
