He sends out His command to the earth; His word runs very swiftly.(Psalm 147:15)
Devotional
God is always in control; He is never taken by surprise. There is order in the universe. It is not a random order, but a divine order. God rules and reigns not only throughout the universe but also throughout time and eternity. He merely speaks and His Word is fulfilled. The Spirit of God is evident all through His Kingdom.Have you ever thought that the preacher was speaking just to you? His Word runs swiftly. Likewise, have you ever noticed that the same message is being preached in other churches? His Word runs swiftly. Have you ever been praying for a certain situation and the events of your life seem to bring it about? His Word runs swiftly.
There is great power in the Word of the Lord. Time or distance does not hinder it. The psalmist has put it this way, “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.”(1)
