Title

Unlikely Favor

Scripture
Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants and in the sight of the people.
(Exodus 11:3)
Devotional
Moses, by his words alone, was the enemy of the status quo rule in Egypt. Without reservation he spoke the Word of the Lord to Pharaoh. Yet, the Bible says that he was the meekest man that had ever lived. The strength and power of Moses was in His humble obedience to God. His stand for the one and only true God caused him to find favor in the sight of all the people. The reason he found favor was that people were looking for someone who would take an unwavering stand for something. They were looking for someone who had an unshakeable belief. Even though people will malign and ridicule you, they will likewise respect you. Moses was not out to win friends and influence people; he was out to obey the Lord his God. His greatness was not in his popularity. His greatness was in his faith in God. God caused Moses to find favor for his faith and He will do the same for you.
