Title

There Is Pyrite For the Evil Man

Scripture
For there will be no prospect for the evil man.
(Proverbs 24:20)
Devotional
The strike of the evil is fool’s gold. His discovery is not as it appears. Though he perceives his future to be bright, his end is the way of death. His hope for success will soon be thwarted. Who in their right mind would prospect an evil man? Therefore, we are to examine ourselves to see if there is any evil way in us.. If there are no prospects in our lives it may be because of the presence of evil. If there is hidden sin in us, it must be repented of before there are any future expectations. If your search for happiness is without prospect, the cause may be the work of an evil man. We cannot associate with evil and expect good to be the outcome. We cannot have hope for tomorrow with evilness as our companion today. Therefore, shun all sorts of evil and watch your prospects come with expectation.

Thought For The Day

“C.S. Lewis wrote, ‘The greatest evil is not done in those sordid ‘dens of crime’ that Dickens loved to paint...it is conceived and moved, seconded, carried, and minuted... in clean, carpeted, warmed, and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voices.’”  Quoted by Charles Colson
