Title

When God Calls, He Equips

Scripture
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able
(1 Corinthians 10:13)
Devotional
God would never put you into a situation that you were unable to handle. When He calls you to a task, He will equip you for that task. You have all the ability you need to fulfill God’s calling in your life. If He calls you to succeed, He has equipped you to succeed. If He directs you to achieve, He has readied you to achieve. When He instructs you to have a successful marriage, He has readied you to do so. God’s grace is more than sufficient for you. He will deliver you from temptation. He will deliver you from failure. You are equipped, able, and gifted to fulfill God’s calling In your life. When God calls you out of your comfort zone, He knows that you are ready to come out of that zone. When God says, “You can do it,” it is because you can. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
Thought For The Night

Historian Shelby Foote tells of a soldier who was wounded at the battle of Shiloh during the American Civil War and was ordered to go to the rear. The fighting was fierce and within minutes he returned to his commanding officer. ‘Captain, give me a gun!’ he shouted. ‘This fight ain’t got any rear!’”
