Title

Until You Hear From Heaven

Scripture
Hear my prayer, O Lord, and let my cry come to You.
(Psalm 102:1)
Devotional
What do you really want in life? What is it that causes you to dream and visualize? What occupies your thoughts and emotions? I sure pray that there is something in your life that is your heart’s desire. If not, seek something that will challenge your God given abilities, talents and gifts. When you have found that thing, take it to the Lord in prayer. Let Him know what you desire. Let Him know why and when and where. Tell Him in detail. Explain to God the reason. Ask Him to show you how to obtain your heart’s desire. Ask God to reveal any sin in your life that might cause you to fail. Let your desire be the cry of your heart. Hold on to it by faith. Trust the Lord’s timing. If there seems to be an unbearable delay, cry more loudly. Keep on asking. Keep on praying. Keep on keeping on until you hear from heaven.
Thought For The Night

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.’” (Matthew 7:7) Therefore, keep on asking, keep on seeking, and keep on knocking until you hear from heaven.”  Tony Foglio, Founding Pastor of Sonrise Community Church.

Defining: “Persistent prayer” is how the Lord taught us to pray. Following “The Lord’s Prayer” in Luke 11, Jesus told the parable of the Persistent Friend, “Because of his persistence he will rise and give him… as he needs,” Luke 11:5-10.

Referencing: “Incline Your ear to me; In the day that I call, answer me speedily,” Psalm 102:2b.

Applying: I wish I understood how prayer works, but I don’t, but I do know that God hears the prayer of faith and He instructs us to continue asking until we hear from heaven. Keep on praying
