Title

The Science of Job

Scripture
He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters at the boundary of light and darkness.
(Job 26:10)
Devotional
The book of Job is considered by many to be the oldest book in the Bible. Its literary importance is only surpassed by its spiritual value. The historical understanding of science in the book of Job is without equal. Job describes God’s creation without error. Science in our day changes faster than books can be written about it. Yet the science of the Bible has held true for millenniums. The Bible says that God created the heavens and the earth. True science will always be confirmed by this fact. It takes far greater faith to believe that we are a product of random chance rather than divine order. Scientifically as well as philosophically, creation is not only more believable, but essential. Without a divine Creator there is no base for science or morality. In fact life would be valueless if left only to chance. However, life does have value. Mankind is special. We have been created in the image of an awesome Creator.
