It Is Called Harlotry

Scripture
For she has cast down many wounded, and all who were slain by her were strong men.
(Proverbs 7:26)
Devotional
Greater men and women than you and me have fallen. "Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall."[31] I believe that it starts with what may appear to be innocent flirtation. You know it: a little extra friendly smile, added politeness, pet names and the like. These if allowed to go unchecked lead to casual friendliness, familiar talking and sharing that is more than personal. Then the emotions begin to take over: feelings change, thoughts dominate and infatuation fills the air. Before it is realized, an illicit relationship has evolved and lives are on the road of ruin. Remember, "All who were slain by her were strong men." By no means am I saying that we should not show ourselves friendly, but there must be an appropriate friendliness. In the marketplace, keep it professional. In all of life stay faithful. For greater men and women than you and me have fallen.
