Title

Ladies, You Have Great Influence

Scripture
For the queen’s behavior will become known to all women, so that they will despise their husbands
(Esther 1:17)
Devotional
Every word of God is significant for all times. Therefore this story of antiquity remains relevant in our day. Queen Vashti represented both the king and the people of the land. Her behavior reflected the king, herself and the people. She had great influence, as do those in the public eye today. Ladies, especially those of you who have public exposure, have the same influence on those who see and hear you. You cannot only bring honor or dishonor to your husband by your behavior, but you can likewise cause others to do the same. Ephesians says, “The wife must respect her husband.” Ladies, please understand that this is far from demeaning, it is a glorious thing to do. When wives honor their husbands they likewise honor God by their obedience to the Word. Ladies, you have great influence, use it not only in a wise manner, but a godly one as well.
