Devotional
Whether it is in relation to our family, work, business, church, or giving of our income and resources, God asks us to do the best we can do according to our abilities. No matter what talent, capability, or giftedness we possess, he does not ask any more or any less of us than that.What ability do you possess? Some are able to lead; others are gifted to follow. Some are able to teach; others are better students. Some have little ability to give of their income and resources; others have great ability to do so.
We are not to measure ourselves against others. We are to only measure ourselves against the abilities God has given us. To ask more or less of ourselves is both unwise and ungodly.
The counsel is this: simply give according to your ability.
