This proverb is simple, clear and true. Those who realize it will not be fooled by beauty and charm. Charm can easily be put on and physical beauty is a temporal state, but godliness has an eternal beauty and a sincerity that is core in its possessor. Charm is charming, but godliness is goodness to the core. The beauty of one who fears the Lord is a quiet strength and wholesomeness in every realm of life.
