Title

Follow the Leader

Scripture
These mentioned by name were leaders in their father’s families, and their father’s house increased greatly.
(1 Chronicles 4:38)
Devotional
Leadership is required before there can be any measure of success. Without it, there will be little or no memory of our lives. If there is to be influence there has to be leadership. For any endeavor to succeed there first has to be leadership. Whether in marriage or business, leadership must be evident. The families of the tribes of Israel were many. There were literally millions of Jacob’s descendents. Nevertheless, only those who made a difference are listed eternally in the scriptures. These are those who led their families. Every family, organization, business and church mandates various levels of leadership. Likewise every leader needs a leader. Leadership requires responsibility and responsibility demands accountability. Furthermore, every true leader will have to answer to the Creator. Do you desire to lead? Then take the responsibility along with the required accountability and follow the Leader, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Leader of the universe.

Thought For The Day
“The summit of Mount Everest… towers 29,035 feet above sea level. On May 29, 1953, two men were the first to reach its summit. Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary. By 1970, 24 climbers had reached the top. Since then, another 800 climbers have successfully made it to the summit more than 1,460 times. A record was set on May 16, 2002, when 54 people conquered Everest on the same day. In life, someone always has to go first, and then others will surely follow.” “Some Summit Meeting: 54 Conquer Everest,” Chicago Tribune (5-17-02)
