Title

Real Fears

Scripture
O Lord my God, in You I put my trust; save me from those who persecute me; and deliver me.
(Psalm 7:1)
Devotional
When we are filled with the fear of the unknown or anxious about that which is known, our trust in the Lord is lacking. I have known few people with real personal enemies, yet I have known many with real fears. If we have a hard time trusting the Lord in times of great favor, what are we going to do in times of persecution? We must learn to trust in the Lord at all times. This we do by expanding our comfort zones. We must learn more boldness in Christ. We must take more Christian liberties when offered. We must refuse to be intimidated by the things of this world. We grow in trust when we step out in faith. Our trust in the Lord will grow when we begin to do the things He would have us to do, and stop doing the things that displease Him. Our trust in the Lord will grow if we put Him to the test with regard to tithes and offerings. Quite simply, our trust in the Lord will grow if we decide to trust Him more.
