Title

Leave The Devil To Christ

Scripture
And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan!”
(Zechariah 3:2)
Devotional
We must know who the enemy is and we must likewise know how to deal with him. First of all he is not to be toyed with - he is a powerful foe. Jude says that even when, “Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, ‘The Lord rebuke you!’”[1] The apostle Paul said to the Ephesians, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”[2] Satan is our enemy. However, Christ has defeated the accuser of the brethren. We need not do anything but follow the instructions of the apostle James, “Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”[3]
