Devotional
Micah gives the commentary of his day. Sadly, it likewise sounds like a commentary of our day. There was a time, not long ago, that a man’s word was his bond. There was a time that people meant what they said and said what they meant. Being on time was the norm. Being late was not acceptable behavior. Business partnerships were based on a handshake. Divorce was shameful and rebellious children a rarity. There was a time that a man did whatever it took to care for his family. Work was honorable even though pay was low. The family was the stay of society. Honesty and integrity were a given. Virtue and principle were expected. Unfortunately, “The faithful man has perished from the earth, and there is no one upright among men.” Let’s bring him back. Let’s bring back the faithful and upright and change the commentary of our day.
