Devotional
Here we have the fruit of hardened hearts. If we reject God’s mercy and grace, we will be subject to His judgment. If we reject His judgment, there is no room left for repentance. All that remains is eternal banishment from the presence of God. There will be a day when we will stand before the very judgment seat of Christ. It will be a day of mourning and weeping, supplication and repentance. For many, it will be too late. There will be no more opportunities for grace and mercy, only the wrath of a just God. Therefore, do not wait. Do not delay turning from the things you know not to do. It is called repentance. Stop doing what is wrong and get God’s strength to do right. It is not at this moment too late, but there is a time coming when there will be no more opportunity, and the time may be today.
