Devotional
Two thousand years ago, He came as a babe in a manger; soon, He is coming back as a conquering King. It is true that we do not know the day or the hour of His coming, but nevertheless, we are to watch and be ready. Therefore, we should live our lives in such a manner so that we are ready to leave this earth in an instant. Like the children of Israel were ready to leave Egypt during the Passover, we are to be ready to leave this earth when the trumpet sounds. Let us not be fooled nor lulled into a lackadaisical attitude of complacency. Let us not think that everything will be the same and that that which has been deemed as temporal will last forever. It will not. Let us live our lives in a state of preparedness. This we do by looking for and expecting His return. Let us be watchmen on the walls, warning those who may perish that the King of the universe is returning and asking who will be able to stand?
