Devotional
How often has God done a work in our lives and we have given the credit to another? How many times has He kept us safe and we attributed it to being lucky? God prospers us and we give the praise to another. He heals us and we forget. It is our nature, and our natures need to change. Let us learn to “Give God the glory.” Let us never forget that all that we are able to accomplish and all that we have comes from the Creator of the universe. He is the sustainer of life. “For in Him we live and move and have our being.” The Spirit of God keeps us from devastation and total destruction. He teaches us to walk. He empowers us to grow and prosper. Every ability we have comes from Him. The apostle James says it this way, “Do not be deceived… Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights.”
