Title

The Gift of Prosperity

Scripture
Let them do good, that they may be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share.
(1 Timothy 6:18)
Devotional
This is the purpose of prosperity: that we would do good works, being ready to give toward a godly need, and willing to share with others how to succeed and likewise, prosper. Prosperity is just like any other gift God gives to His creation. Some are gifted musically, others are gifted to teach and others have the gifts of administration and leadership. Prosperity is, likewise, a gift to be used for the glory of God and the edification of His church. As a pastor of a local New Testament church, I am just as willing to ask those who have the gift of prosperity to share and give just as readily as I am to ask a gifted singer to sing. I would be a poor steward to do otherwise. Likewise, to be gifted with prosperity and not share that gift would be just as selfish as being able to glorify God with your voice and not do so. Therefore, do good with your gifts, whatever those gifts may be.
