Title

Godliness Is Good For You

Scripture
Bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things.
(1 Timothy 4:8)
Devotional
I enjoy running. I am able to accomplish several things through it. I take care of the exercise I need. I am able to plan my day, get new ideas and even pray. Sometimes I pray that I can make it back home. Running does profit me a little. However, as the apostle Paul tells us, “godliness is profitable for all things.” Godliness is simply doing things God’s way. A godly lifestyle will not only do a proper amount of physical exercise; it will exercise the spiritual man as well. Godliness eats right, thinks right and does right. Therefore, if we live a godly lifestyle, we will only need a little bodily exercise. Godliness requires more than prayer and Bible reading. It is a life of discipline, obedience and faithfulness. Godliness works diligently, acts honestly, plays righteously and lives life to its fullest. Godliness is very good for you.
