Devotional
A nest without the watchful eye of its keeper is more than vulnerable. Its occupants are in great danger from various predators. So are our homes when abandoned by a man or a woman for always selfish reasons. God has always intended for a home to consist of a husband and a wife, and a mother and a father. Anything less than that is a hindered home. It is true that God will be a Father to the fatherless for those who have been orphaned. God never designed us for divorce or abandonment. Our children were not conceived to be raised in a one-parent home. No matter how hard we try, the mix just will not be right. I may not understand all situations, but God does. Take your marriage to the Lord. Ask God what you are to do in your part of your marriage. You do what God directs you to do and leave your spouse to Him. And stay in the nest.
