Title

A Vessel Fit For The Master’s Hand

Scripture
But now, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You are the potter; and all we are the work of You hand.
(Isaiah 64:8)
Devotional
If God is truly our Lord and Father, then we will be or become moldable as clay. We, like clay, must be ready to be fashioned into vessels of obedience, willing to be used for the Potter’s desire. Just as good clay is a combination of water and firm earth, we become good clay through a combination of obedience to the Lordship of Christ and submission to the love of the Father. The water is the Word and the earth is the Spirit within us. The combination of the two makes us pliable clay. The Lord God is a master craftsman. He is able to mold us into vessels of honor and praise. Every one of us is able to become good clay. It may require the removing of some rocks and weeds. Nevertheless, with a little firing in life’s kiln, the end result will produce a glorious vessel fit for the Master’s hand.
