There has never time a time throughout history that the mind of man has been more bombarded than our day. The world has shrunk in regard to the speed of information. Everywhere we turn, there is an abundance of data attempting to get into our minds. For the most part, these things do not renew our minds, they pollute them. Television and much of the entertainment media does little to enrich our thinking. Nevertheless, there are tried and true methods available: prayer, meditating on God’s Word, Bible study and corporate worship. There are numerous good books and wonderful churches in which to grow and learn. Listen to uplifting music and informative messages. Furthermore, we are to understand that renewing the mind requires purposeful thought and careful attention. The mind will have to be challenged before it can be renewed. We are to strive for nothing less than the mind of Christ. He is the one who renews the mind completely.
