The Veil Is Gone

Scripture
When one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
(2 Corinthians 3:16)
Devotional
The Old Covenant, that is the Old Testament is called “The ministry of death” and “The ministry of condemnation.” The book of Exodus says that Moses, “Wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.” These 297 words were so powerful and impacted Moses to the point that the people could not look on His face. Therefore he had to wear a veil to cover the presents of God’s glory. This is the purpose of the law of God, to expose our sin and to glorify God. There is no salvation in it. No one has ever been saved by it, no not one. The only one ever able to keep all the law was the giver of it, the Lord Jesus Christ. When we turn to Him, the veil of separation is removed. The Old Covenant was a contract that could not be kept by man. The New Covenant is an adoption agreement. Therefore instead of slaves we have become sons and daughters of the Covenant Maker, the Creator of the universe.
