Scripture
Thanks be to God who always leads us into triumph in Christ…
(2 Corinthians 2:14)
Devotional
Let us look at this short text in three sections. The first being, “Thanks be to God.” I have consistently found that thankful people are happy, friendly and able to prosper. The second phrase is “Who always leads us.” Here we have a fact about God’s relationship with His people; He is always leading. The problem arises in that we are not always following. Here we have the key to failure among the people of God. God knows the way of His creation. He knows how to bless and prosper. Nevertheless, we continually want to do what ever is right in our own eyes. The third section shows the purpose of our thanksgiving and willingness to follow, that we might, “Triumph in Christ.” The ultimate goal of all that we do is to bring Christ glory. And there is no glory out-sides of Christ. The only success there is for the believer is found in, by and for Christ. Therefore let us say, “Thanks be to God who always leads us into triumph in Christ.”
