Title

It is Good to Know that You Do Not Know

Scripture
If anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know.
(1 Corinthians 8:2)
Devotional
Knowledge has a tendency to cause people to stop thinking. Once something is accepted as a fact, no further thought is given to its legitimacy. It is simply accepted and stored in the warehouse of bias. No matter how certain we may be about a subject, event or person, there will always be a void of total understanding and knowledge. There will always be a least one thing we do not know. Frankly, we do not know everything there is to know about anything. The wise man and woman will realize that the only thing they know for sure is that they do not know everything. Chapter eight of 1 Corinthians begins with the words, “We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.” Therefore, let us be slow to judge those who may not know what we know, because we just may not know what they know. Let us simply choose to love them.
