The world is changing all around us, but there is one thing that has not changed, the base nature of man. There are no new sins. There are no new temptations. There are no new excuses. The same sins that caused Adam to be cast out of the garden are the same sins that keep one out of heaven. The scriptures hold true, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man.” Things just are not that different. Mankind is not evolving. If anything he is degenerating, succumbing more and more to sin. Nevertheless, it is not because Satan has newer and better schemes. Likewise there is no new way to overcome his temptations. As the sin nature of mankind has not changed, the perfect nature of God has not changed. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Your situation and your trials are such as is common to man. Jesus Christ remains the answer to your life.
