Title

The Temporal Prosperity of the Wicked

Scripture
Why do the wicked live and become old, yes, become mighty in power?
(Job 21:7)
Devotional
I do not know why the wicked often prosper, and I don’t care. All I care about is what would God have me to do. I know that if I walk according to His ways in obedience I will prosper. The difference in the wicked prospering and the righteous is the wicked have all their reward in this life. The righteous have a reward not only in this life but also in the life to come. God knows the ways of the wicked. They will not go unpunished. God likewise knows the ways of His children. They will not go without reward. Instead of worrying about the wicked prospering, we ought to try and win the wicked to righteousness, the righteousness that is found in Christ Jesus. Let us not concern ourselves with the opulence of the wicked; let us concern ourselves with the prosperity of the righteous. The prosperity of the wicked is temporal. Those who prosper in Christ prosper for eternity.
