Title

A Contrary Lifestyle

Scripture
“Indeed, I myself thought I must do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.”
(Acts 26:9)
Devotional
This is the thinking of a Christless religiosity. We must remember that the goodness of man is contrary to the goodness of God. The world says that you can believe in anything. God says we must believe in Him. The world says that we can believe in God anyway we see fit. God says that we must believe in His Son. ?When we attempt to do our own thing, our own way, and in our own strength, we violate the name of Jesus of Nazareth. He is the way, the truth, and the source of abundant life. Living without a real personal relationship with Christ is living a life contrary to the will of God. ?Paul was a very religious man. He persecuted Christians out of religious zeal, thinking he was doing God a favor. However, his goodness was sin. Likewise, no matter how appealing our goodness may seem to others, if it is void of Christ it is contrary to Him.
