Title

Learn to Love the Morning

Scripture
“To You I have cried out, O Lord, and in the morning my prayer comes before You.”
(Psalm 88:13)
Devotional
Throughout the Bible we read about godly people seeking and praying to the Lord in the morning. In fact, the phrase, in the morning is used over one hundred times in the Scriptures. The message is obvious: Begin the day with the Lord. We may sleep in, but we can seldom get up too early. ?I can remember as a young child my mother saying to me, “Early to bed and early to rise makes Tony healthy, wealthy, and wise.” I have found my mom’s words to hold true throughout my life. I would not think of beginning a day without first spending time with the Lord and His Word. ?The first thing on my lips each morning is a prayer of thanksgiving followed by petition. If I awaken earlier than usual, I pray for the people or things that come to mind. ?If you start spending the beginning of your day with the Lord, soon you too will love the morning.
