Title

Transparent before God and Man

Scripture
“Now while Ezra was praying, and while he was confessing, weeping and bowing down before the house of God…”
(Ezra 10:1)
Devotional
When we find favor with God, we will likewise find favor with His people. Ezra knew how to do both. He not only prayed, but he confessed his ways with weeping and worshipping. Ezra not only got God’s attention, but his manner of worship got the attention of people as well. ?Ezra sought the Lord before the house of God. He prayed openly and unashamedly. When was the last time you sought the Lord in this fashion? When was the last time you did so openly? ?For the most part we attempt to pray without notice. Hopefully, we do so not to draw attention to ourselves like the Pharisees, nor out of shame, but in humility. Nevertheless, there is a time to be transparent before the Lord and His people. There is a time to let heaven and earth know our requests. When that time comes, do not be afraid to express them and be transformed before God and man.
