Title

The Courage of The Courageous

Scripture
Be of good courage, and let us be strong for our people and for… our God. And may the Lord do what is good in His sight
(1 Chronicles 19:13)
Devotional
If there is a godly cause and a meaningful purpose, courage will follow. Here in our text a godly cause and meaningful purpose is given. The cause is to serve and protect the people and the purpose is to glorify God. There is no nobler cause or greater purpose. When we do right for the sake of right and when we are good because God is good then we are apt to find favor in the sight of both God and man. Therefore let us ask, “Is there a cause? Do I understand the purpose?” When we find them, fear will succumb to courage and uncertainty will yield to valiancy. If what we are doing is from the Lord, then there is a purpose and there is a cause. With these we are to move with the courage of the courageous and we are to advance with the might of the mighty.
